Doing a 120k soon and decided to finally replace my old original coolant pipes. I picked up a set from BlackHawkJapan and dropped them off to get coated. I was considering an "Alodine" coating but it was recommended that "Electroless Nickel Plating" would be better for this application. It was mentioned that the all the heat from the motor would be beneficial to the nickel plating. Not really sure one way or another, just knew that I wanted to try something so we'll see how well it works. Hopefully no weird metallurgy issues from introducing nickel to the coolant system, if anyone has any feedback on this or any other possible coatings for this application I'm interested in hearing more.
